Who We Are

Call To Action Stories (CTAS) was founded by Lesley Turner in 2024 after a 25+ career as a direct response commercial producer and later, fundraising development professional for nonprofits.

But it was Lesley’s personal connection with loss that led her to launch Call To Action Stories as an affordable, women-led video production company.

The first organizations she worked with were the very ones who supported her after becoming a widow and a single mother, navigating housing insecurity, job insecurity and food insecurity during and after the pandemic.

Trained in trauma-informed interviewing, Lesley brings a natural sensitivity and understanding to every project. Each impact story is ethically produced always working collaboratively with the client to ensure privacy of participants are always respected.

Our Commitment to LA County

Youth@Work Program: Through our growing partnership with LA County’s Department of Economic Opportunity, we’re mentoring and training the next generation of storytellers. Our student mentees gain professional production experience, learn to craft mission-driven campaigns and build a meaningful portfolio to help launch their careers.

LA Fire Recovery Support: Like so many in Los Angeles county, Lesley and her family faced homelessness again after the 2025 fires yet gratefully received support from organizations led by the recovery efforts of the Boys & Girls Club Malibu.

In an effort to give back, she recently partnered with LA Strong Comms Coalition (LASCC) in 2026, to provide pro bono video services for women-owned businesses impacted by the fires.
